ABOUT

Since graduating from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM), Tom has strived to combine his passion of osteopathy with his love for sport, fitness and healthy living. His knowledge of osteopathy and enthusiasm for exercise rehabilitation has helped individuals suffering from a wide range of musculoskeletal problems and sports-related injuries.

Before fulfilling his dream of becoming an osteopath, Tom worked in the sailing industry as a senior and advanced sailing instructor, where he coached and trained amateur and elite sailors at the renowned Wildwind training centre in Greece. During this time, Tom achieved a lifelong goal of sailing across the Atlantic ocean and has competed in multiple national and European sailing championships. It was here that he discovered the importance of health, fitness and the many benefits that osteopathy has towards injury rehabilitation and healthy living.

TREATMENT STYLE

Tom utilises many osteopathic treatment styles to help diagnose a variety of musculoskeletal problems and injuries for a wide range of patients. His core belief is that the appropriate application of massage, mobilisation and stretching techniques, alongside personalised exercise guidance and nutritional advice, can improve the function of the body and therefore help create the optimum conditions needed for recovery and well-being. As a part of his treatment process, he provides a personalised treatment and rehabilitation plan for every one of his patients, whilst promoting a healthy lifestyle and helping individuals achieve their goals.

Tom has worked with numerous medical teams responsible for providing rehabilitation and injury prevention programmes for athletes in multiple sports. He has worked with GB and development 100m, 200m and 400m sprinters alongside internationally acclaimed coaches at Speedworks and West London Track and Field. Most recently, Tom has worked with the Ladies first team at Hampstead and Westminster Hockey Club and was the Clinical Lead for the Wasps Ladies rugby team in the Tyrrells 15s Premiership.
